Radiotherapy

"Radiotherapy" it's a short documentary about local community radio station. The film is about how being a radio presenter can be therapeutic for people and how it can build your self-esteem.
Documentary was part of my collaborative project with my colleague Tim Prevett who was a producer and a director. I worked on this film as a DOP and an editor.

Home

"Home" is a project I worked on as part of my postgraduate degree at University of Salford for a module called Creative Development Project. I have chosen to make a short documentary about the meaning of 'home'.

The main idea of my project was very personal to me and I wanted to show that home refers to feeling rather than a place. The project is also about misplacement. Although I come from Poland I always felt that I didn't belong there. I also knew that there were so many people around the world who feel exactly the same as I do, and I believe that my documentary would connect with them.
The story is told by interviewing three people from different countries who have come to the UK to look for different experiences.

There are two versions of my film - on the first one I worked alone but after receiving some feedback I have decided to add animation in order to enhance the overall look of my documentary.
The animation is done by my colleague and friend Eleonora Asparuhova(watch her animations here: https://vimeo.com/eleonoraasparuhova)

Here is the first version of "Home": Home version one

And here you can watch the second version: Home (animation)

Being Daz

"Being Daz" is a teaser trailer video for a project I'm currently working on. It is for Practice Research Project for my postgraduate degree at the University of Salford.

The project aims to tell the story of unfulfillment and emptiness in life. The video follows the story of Darren (Daz).
Sadly at the end he decided not to take part in the project therefore I had to find another person to replace him. This situation not only influenced my decision to change the overall structure of the documentary, but I have now put the emphasis on the connection between visual and sound, without the use of dialogue.

I will start shooting this weekend and I am going to leave my character in the shadows for now in order to keep your tension. Keep your eyes on my blog for more updates and meanwhile watch "Being Daz" here and let me know what you think. Thanks a lot!

Storyworld

"Storyworld" is a project I did as part of my undergraduate degree in Media Production at the University of Bolton. It is a 'behind the scenes' video of the production process run by the students at the university.

For this project I worked in collaboration with a colleague and friend of mine Mohammed Osman who took a role of the producer and the co-editor. My responsibilities included directing and co-editing of the final piece.

Dirty Face

'Dirty Face' is a 30 second advert created using After Effects for one of the Foundation Degree projects at Futureworks. The aim of the project was to popularize urban art of young people who used their talent to create custom design T-shirts.
This project was really fun to create but at the same time very challenging because of the use of After Effects for the first time.
