Art Works

I started painting when I was about 15 years old.
I fell in love with oil paintings and that is how I started painting myself.
My main inspiration and fascination is the female body and most of my art works have been inspired and influenced by it.
The way I draw the female body helps me to express my emotions, feelings and situations around me. It also helps me to take my mind away from everyday life and helps me to run away from the sometimes unpleasant reality.
Another inspiration for my art works is the art of Paul Gauguin, Wassilly Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Henri De Toulouse - Lautrec, Edvard Munch, Gustav Klimt and so many others, but recently one of my most favourite artists is David Hockney.
Being fascinated with the female body has made my style really abstract and conceptual with an emphasis on colour.
Ever since I started painting I have had periods of time where I just left it on the side and did not get back to it for a long time but making the decision to come to the UK as unlocked my passion for painting once again.
Lately I have been looking at my art works and decided to start drawing again. The paintings I have decided to post here have been made after my arrival in the UK.
